Souls of Mischief | Sat 17 Jun | Band On The Wall
Oakland crew Souls Of Mischief defined many a young hip hop fan’s tastes with their debut album 93 ‘til Infinity, weaving fantastical narratives among some of the warmest production of the genre’s golden age. Part of the Hieroglyphics family (founded in the early 1990s by Del the Funky Homosapien), they’ve more recently collaborated with Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest) who then went on to produce the soundtrack for Marvel’s Luke Cage series together.

Main Source | Mon 21 Aug | Sound Control
East Coasters Main Source celebrate 25 years since the release of their perennial LP Breaking Atoms. It introduced us to legendary rapper and producer Large Professor (who went on to produce for Busta Rhymes, A Tribe Called Quest and many more) and saw Nas make his recorded debut. Large Pro, Sir Scratch and K-Cut haven’t toured for 20 years and are thirsty to return to the stage: expect fire.
