This year’s annual Record Store Day takes place on Saturday 13th April, celebrating the UK’s independent record shops and the music industry surrounding them. A date celebrated by stores, venues and audiophiles across the country, this year marks twelve years since the start of the annual event. We’ve picked out three events you can look forward to in the city this year.

Fair Play Record Fair @ Eastern Bloc Records | 9am-3am | FREE
In partnership with Jägermeister, Reform Radio will be live streaming from Eastern Bloc Records’ all-day vinyl party. Now a firm Record Store Day favourite in Manchester, fans can look forward to over 18 hours of back-to-back vinyl sets from some of Manchester’s most respected selectors and collectors. Expect a carnival atmosphere on Stevenson Square!
Eastern Bloc Records, 5A Stevenson Square, Manchester, M1 1DN.

Common X Piccadilly Records @ Common | 5pm-Late | FREE
Each year, Common joins forces with Piccadilly Records to throw an all-day Record Store Day party. Catch live music from local favourites Aldous RH, CURRENTMOODGIRL and Fruit Tones from 5pm, before Space Afrika and WH Lung take to the decks to soundtrack the evening. Those who have been digging deep over in Piccadilly Records will be offered 10% off food and drink all day with receipts from any purchases.

Record Store Day @ Yerrrr Bar | 12pm-11:30pm | FREE
A newbie on the Manchester scene, Yerrrr Bar is situated just two minutes from Piccadilly Station at Crusader Mill. Fresh from opening in March, they waste no time getting stuck into festivities, inviting fans to bring down their Record Store Day buys for a spin.
