If you’re stuck for ideas on keeping the younger generation entertained this Easter and beyond, pop the chocolate bunnies to one side and head to Waterside for some family fun. Here are four of our favourite child-friendly shows landing in Sale this Spring – and most are perfect for big kids as well as the little’uns…

Red Riding Hood and the Wolf
The classic fairytale is reimagined with a Wolf that’s neither big nor bad, just broken-hearted and a tiny bit bashful – until Robyn chooses to believe in him. Little Angel Theatre’s production of Jon Barton’s retelling makes the ordinary extraordinary.
Sat 31 Mar, 11.30am & 2pm, £7-9, book here.

The Sagas of Noggin The Nog
Heaped with plenty of praise, this production is made up of two Noggin the Nog legends, one in each half, told by the Men of the Northlands in the best story-telling tradition – in the dark around a roaring log fire and with puppets for extra charm.
Tue 3 Apr, 2.30pm, £7-9, book here.

Sarah & Duck’s Big Top Birthday
This brand-new stage show promises a magical adventure with Sarah and Duck from the BAFTA award-winning CBeebies favourite. Joined by their pals to organise a surprise party for Scarf Lady’s birthday, think puppetry, storytelling and music.
Thu 3 May, 2pm, £10-12, book here.

John Hegley: All Hail The Snail (And Other Creatures)
The mandolin-playing poet creates a weird and wonderful world of wordplay as he leads the way through his living library of verse, songs, stories and drawings. Expect plenty of laughs for kids, young people and adults alike, and the bonus of a special guest.
Sun 13 May, 11am & 2.30pm, £7-9, book here.
