Trans Vegas is a four-day transgender arts festival masterminded by Kate O’Donnell, Artistic Director of Trans Creative arts company. As part of their ongoing mission to ‘trans up Manchester’, Kate has assembled a diverse range of trans talent from Manchester and beyond who will be performing, reading, laughing, singing, talking and inciting change across some of Manchester’s finest venues. Young trans people lead anyone who fancies coming along on a tour of Manchester Art Gallery, while writer Juno Roche breaks taboos in newest offering, ‘Queer Sex’, with music from CN Lester. Charlie Craggs brings a pop-up nail salon to House Of Fraser before launching a new book To My Trans Sisters at Waterstones Deansgate, while Husk provides music for Hotpencil Press’s brand new performance/discussion and music event, reflecting on the movie Boys Don’t Cry starring Hilary Swank entitled Boys Don’t Cry – Boys Create at Royal Northern College of Music.
