Treat Yourself: An Oasis in the City at Bowdon Parish Centre, Altrincham

Having had a wildly successful winter outing back in those cold months of March (was it really only four months ago?), An Oasis in the City is back for another day of shopping, indulgence and craft. Bringing together some of the finer retailers and independent pop-ups from around the region, the promise of beauty treatments through the day, artisan macaroons and boutique fashion sales might not appeal much to those of a masculine persuasion, but just as you can leave your children at the free all-day kids club, you can drop any weary guests off at the on-site vintage tea room for a cuppa, a cake and a calm down. With over 30 exhibiting stalls – including one section dedicated to finding you a new hobby – as well as a raffle in aid of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, it should be a superbly serene way to start the rest of your summer.
