A 30-minute train ride from Manchester, New Mills is holding a festive fair this Saturday. With stilt walkers, New Mills Brass Band and Stockport Ukulele Players, arts and crafts stalls and live acoustic music filling the streets and Town Hall, there is also an impressive food and drink offering. Locals Torrside Brewing will be serving beers, mulled wine and spiced cider, plus Thai food from Som Tam Street, Mwah Pizza, Man BBQ, Portuguese fare from Que Delivia, Jamaican treats from Hungry Little Critters, and Asian food from Dim Sum SU. Dessert will be on hand with Eat Dutch dishing up pancakes and waffles, Mr Churros, and milkshakes and crepes from Shakes, Batter & Roll.
