Now in its sixth year, Turn 2014 returns to Contact in April for an explosive celebration of emerging danceworks in the North West. Taking place in the form of a micro-festival, Turn has grown to be a key event in Manchester’s dance calendar, providing a platform for both dancers and dance-makers in the region. This year’s line-up ranges from flying acrobatics to ‘sinuous physicality’, with performers including Northern School of Contemporary Dance graduates, Gracefool Collective; Levantes Dance Theatre; dance-maker and improviser, Ane Iselin Brogeland; Joshua Hubbard and Peter Grist & Company, all competing to win the Turn Prize. With seventeen new works in total, packed into two nights of creative, intense and intimate performances, this is the place to seek out and support the best of the upcoming North West dance scene.
