To mark the 20th anniversary of their legendary debut album, Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes, Brooklyn rock outfit TV on the Radio return from a decade-long hiatus with a one-off Manchester show at Albert Hall on Fri 27 Jun.
In the ten years since their last project, Seeds, the group have enjoyed success in their individual creative pursuits across stage and screen. Now, the eclectic alt innovators are set to enter their next phase of evolution, venturing into the unknown with a fresh focus on members Tunde, Kyp and Jaleel and a series of unmissable live performances for devoted longtime fans and curious newcomers alike.
From their mid-noughties origins to the present, TV on the Radio have relentlessly carved out new, unique spaces where they’ve challenged genre constraints and adapted their versatile, distinctive sound spanning funk, rock and intricate, poetic lyricism.
Described as ‘energised and lupine’ in The Guardian’s glowing review of their Islington Assembly Hall show in December, TV on the Radio’s live performance promises a euphorically thrilling night of beloved classics ahead of their busy festival schedule.
