The Whim Wham Café already looks and sounds like it has been transported from another era. A time when prohies roamed the streets looking for bootleggers, and people had to speak easy to get their kicks. Bringing even more of a sense of the roaring 20s is the Ragtime Revival this Friday night. Vintage cocktails will be on offer all night, while both burlesque act Juniper Crush and Dr Butler’s Hatstand Medicine Band – the best dressed men in music – will perform. Dr Sid and Mr Nightwalker, meanwhile, will be taking their time machine from the 20s, through the best music from the 30s and 40s, taking in jazz, swing, rockin’ blues, and 50s rock ‘n’ roll. These parties go on late into the night and will have you dancing like a flapper in no time.
