Twisted Reel, the Northern Quarter film night, is screening the documentary film Dig! this Friday. The movie charts the bizarre relationship between Courtney Taylor-Taylor of The Dandy Warhols and Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Filmed over seven years, Dig! sees the pair starting out as friends and musical allies before things go sour, descending into jealousy, acrimony and even violence. This eye-opening film proves that indie music darlings can have egos just as big as Bono’s. Dig! won the Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, and a host of other awards. Tickets for the screening are available on the door or from the link below, and popcorn is included in the price. DJ Rich Coyle will be playing indie tracks, pre- and post-screening.
