Two Manchester cocktail bars have been recognised in the Class Magazine Bar Awards for 2022.
Schofield’s Bar and Mecanica are both proudly flying the flag for Manchester after the pair were shortlisted as finalists across multiple categories.
The achievement is made that bit more impressive considering both venues are still very much fresh-faced in the city, though both have been earning rave reviews in their relatively short time here.
Mecanica have made the final four in the Bar Employer of the Year category, while Elena Wright features in the coveted Emerging Bartender of the Year list.
Meanwhile, Schofield’s feature in a staggering five of the nine Industry Vote Awards: Drinks Menu of the Year, New Bar of the Year and Bar of the Year along with individual shouts for Rachel Orange in Bartender of the Year and Joe & Daniel Schofield in the Bar Innovator(s) of the Year category.
Lyndon Higginson of The Liars Group also features in the Bar Innovators of the Year section.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony that will take place at Oval Space in Bethnal Green, London on Tue 24 May. You can take a look through all the finalists here.
