Knee-sliding across the stage in a show of campy bravado comes Ultimate Anthems: A new club night from The Ultimate Power kids. Ultimate Power have, for the past few years, done a roaring trade in a rock nights across the country. Packing set lists with hair rockers and stadium swingers – spinning the likes of Springsteen, Alice Cooper, Poison, Bon Jovi and, er, Kenny Loggins. A night dedicated to testosterone-fuelled floor fillers, catering to all the British Isles’ wannabe Wayne Campbells. Now they’re returning to Manchester with a new night, which promises the same roster of tight-trousered power chord merchants, with a cast-iron(Maiden) guarantee to leave your dancing limbs aching and your voice raspy from spitting out the many euphoric choruses on offer.
