The Hallé welcomes the supremely talented Isata Kanneh-Mason to the Bridgewater Hall on Thu 24 Feb in a must-see performance for classical music buffs.

Winner of the 2021 Leonard Berstein Award and 2020 Opus Klassic Award, Isata has enjoyed an incredibly fruitful couple of years when it comes to critical acclaim—as a member of the Kanneh-Mason family, she was also the recipient of the 2021 Best Classical Artist at the Global Awards.

Returning after making her Hallé debut last season, she’ll be giving the orchestra’s first performance of Clara Schumann’s virtuosic concerto.

Also on the billing is Anna Clyne, another wildly acclaimed name with commissions from the likes of BBC Proms to the Chicago Symphony. She’ll be responding to poems by Jiménez and Baudelaire in pieces that combine high-octane performance and ‘waltzing tenderness’.

Schoenberg will afford the percussionists a real opportunity to let loose through a showstopping Brahmsian finale and Tianyi Lu, first prize-winner in the prestigious Sir George Solti International Conductors’ Competition, joins the lineup on conducting duties.

You can grab your tickets using the button below. Student tickets are available for just £3 and anyone under 30 can get 15% off the top three tiers.
