Upgraded: Saint Etienne’s Sarah Cracknell at Gorilla

Sarah Cracknell was booked to play The Deaf Institute in June, but somewhat bizarrely, the original venue was double-booked with a wedding. Sarah graciously agreed to move up the road, however, and let the betrothed couple have their venue of choice. What a class act! As Gorilla is a bigger room this means more tickets are now available. But be warned: these are likely to sell out in double quick time. Best known as the vocalist from Saint Etienne, Cracknell is on tour to promote her upcoming solo album Red Kite. It is set to feature understated pastoral ballads that were all recorded in an Oxfordshire barn. This is only her second solo album, coming almost two decades after her debut, Lipslide.
