Everyone knows dessert is the best part of dinner and clearly Joyce Laylands’ Sidney St. Café is wise to the fact too, as it skips the starter and main in favour of four courses of dessert instead – so you can have your cake and eat it four times over. Taking place next week, the Café will be hosting its first ever Vegan Pudding Club, giving guests the opportunity learn about the history of pudding, pick up some decadent recipes and, ultimately, indulge your perennial sweet tooth with fellow pudding lovers. Even better, this month’s event covers all the main dessert food groups: sticky toffee pudding; rhubarb sorbet with custard ice cream; dark chocolate tart with raspberry coulis and Manchester trifle with Vimto jelly. Event is pay on the door, but reservations are required.
