Volkovs return: Constellation Dance at Lionel Dobie Project

A fixture of the Manchester (and Salford) art scene, the Volkov Commanders return once again with Constellation Dance. After various projects at Islington Mill and at Sounds from the Other City, art-project-alien-race branch out this time to the new centre of the Manchester underground cultural universe, Lionel Dobie Project. In this latest work, the Volkovs explore the relationship between the astraphysical and the rhythmical, mapping the stars with human expression and sound. Audience participation is said to be necessary, and, as with all Commander events, it’s certain to be strange and beautiful.
