Volta on Burton Road offers half-price lunch menu

Celebrating its first birthday this month, West Didsbury’s Volta is offering its lunch menu at half price throughout January. The Burton Road eaterie and bar, set up by the team behind Chorlton’s award-winning bar Electrik, is offering Light Bites including Grilled Chorizo and creamy Potted Shrimps & Crab, served with mace butter and sour dough bread from Trove in Levenshulme. Mains include Beef Cheeks, braised in organge zest and star anise, and served with mashed potatoes, plus Lamb Meatballs (pictured) in spiced tomato sauce, served with Greek yoghurt and a fried hens egg – while Sea Bass and Smoked Feta Linguine Pasta and a sandwich list are also available at lunchtime. During its January sale, Light Bites start at £1.50 and mains range from £4 to £4.50 (the Hanger Steak is excluded from the offer). The 50% deal is available Tuesday to Thursday for the remainder of the month.
