The glorious thing about fashion these days is that it seems anything goes – literally anything. In a climate where OAP knitwear is sought after and old dungarees are no longer just for painting the bedroom, one man’s junk is another man’s quirky new favourite. The era of ‘vintage’ fashion is well and truly upon us, and if this means that old unwanted items can enjoy a new lease of life with someone else, then so be it. The idea of a clothes swap is that you trade in what you no longer want, and go home with someone else’s old gems that for one reason or another they just don’t love anymore – you’d be surprised what some people would throw out, and equally what some people would want. Simply bring between 5 and 20 clean and undamaged items of clothing, and swap them for the same amount of stuff you do want.
