The Northern Quarter is always a safe bet for unique vintage steals to suit whatever occasion, but with Waste Not clothes swap you can get all that and more – and this time round, there’s no minimum to the number of clothes you can swap. All you need to do is bring up to 20 (hopefully) clean and undamaged items and take up to the same number home. That’s basically a season of Christmas party outfits sorted without even having to brave the Arndale. Housed in Soup Kitchen, there will of course be Christmas DJs spinning tunes and a performance from the Northern Quarter Boys Choir as you browse, all while you nibble on mince pies and sip on mulled wine. And since it’s the season of goodwill after all, all proceeds will be going to homeless charity Shelter.
