There’s no shortage of vintage shops in Manchester. Add to that the pop up vintage fairs at places such as Night & Day and Odder and the like and everyone is wearing everyone else’s clothes. Bringing this love of clothes swapping and Manchester’s vibrant music scene Waste Not Clothes Shop invites you to a pop up shop with a difference. With the simple yet ingenious conceit of bringing as much clothes as you take away waste not lest you want not. Punters bring 5-20 items of clothing they no longer want (clean and undamaged hopefully) which exchanged for tokens and showcased along with everything else on display. Browse to see what you want and head to the counter. This way you don’t end up with less closet space. Housed in the Northern Quarter’s most laid back bar Soup Kitchen, there will be homemade cakes, fresh food and fine beers as well as the sartorial delights from Manchester’s finest hipsters.

Sun 26 May, Soup Kitchen, 31-33 Spear Street, M1 1DF. https://www.facebook.com/events/235137069958355/ 12pm-7pm, £3.
