The Grade II-listed Manchester Hall on Bridge Street hosts the 11th outing of the Big Indie Wine Fest this weekend – part of the ongoing Manchester Food & Drink Festival. Now featuring an extra session, the three-day event showcases Manchester’s finest independent wine merchants – including Commanderie, Carringtons, Inspiring Wines, The Veeno Company and Iberica. Attendees can taste their way around the hall – and can buy their favourites to take away by the bottle. The weekend also features masterclass sessions, covering specific wines, regions and trends, included in the ticket price – which can be booked on arrival. Manchester Hall’s Masons Restaurant will be on hand to offer small plates of homemade ham hock terrine, piccalilli, locally sourced charcuterie, cheeses and more.
