The shortlist for this year’s British Restaurant Awards has been unveiled, shining the spotlight on the UK’s top food and drink operators.

Nominees have been chosen by readers of Chelsea Monthly magazine, The National Post and members of the World Restaurant Awards Guide, who were all invited to pick their favourite venues per city, region and throughout the UK.

Manchester’s Peter Street Kitchen, who combine contemporary Japanese and Mexican cuisines, have been shortlisted for both ‘Best Luxury Restaurant’ and ‘Best Culinary Experience’, while Chinese BBQ and hotpot venue, One Plus, have been selected in the ‘Best Takeaway Restaurant’ category.

Twelve restaurants have also been nominated in the dedicated best of Manchester category, these are:

  • Mi & Pho,
  • Zouk
  • Adam Reid at The French
  • WOOD Manchester
  • 20 Stories
  • Australasia
  • Mana
  • Tattu Restaurant and Bar
  • Gaucho
  • Fazenda
  • Peter Street Kitchen
  • 63 Degrees

There is also a category for ‘Best Restaurant Chain’, which includes Gourmet Burger Kitchen, German Doner Kebab, Honest Burgers, Vapianos and Wingstop, all of whom have venues in Manchester.

This year’s British Restaurant Awards ceremony takes place on Mon 12 Sep at the Sway in London, with voting now open to find the winners.
