Sandbar on Grosvenor Street is launching a new whisky tasting series this month. The first of these crowd-led sessions features five single malt whiskies from three Scottish islands, with particular highlights likely to be Talisker’s 57 Degrees North and Highland Park’s 18 year old whiskies. The events will offer an opportunity to enjoy fine drams from Sandbar’s extensive collection, and to discuss them with whisky aficionados and fledgling enthusiasts in an informal setting. The four-part series will continue with Scottish Highland whisky, Irish whiskey and finally Japanese whisky. Tickets are available in advance from the bar or via beer@sandbarmanchester.co.uk.
