Non-profit newspaper Manchester Mule tackles questions surrounding Greater Manchester’s progression and the effects it may have on society and culture as it asks ‘whose city is Manchester?’ later this month. Taking place at Chapel Street’s The Black Lion, the debate will focus on local politics, including planning permission and building plans, architecture and housing. Chaired by Morag Rose (of the Loiterers Resistance Movement), the panel will be led by University of Manchester’s urban issues and housing sociology lecturer Chris Allen, with Skyliner creator and occasional Manchester Wire contributor Hayley Flynn participating alongside Salford community worker Graham Cooper and a council representative (tbc).
