Manchester’s got a spicy new arrival, in the shape of Vietnamese street food experts, Pho. Not to be confused with other Mcr restaurants with similar names, this outfit started life in the big smoke, before opening in the new Corn Exchange food hall. House special is a (very) slow-cooked beef broth, packed with beef brisket and egg yolk and mushrooms, while other thrills include Bò lá lốt (beef wrapped in betal leaves, served with rice vermicelli sheets & nuoc cham) and Gỏi xoài Spicy (green mango salad topped with pork, dried shrimp and peanuts). Summer rolls, a kind of Vietnamese wrap, are another must as is the house mojito made with rice wine, and Asian lager beers that put everyone in a holiday frame of mind. Jude Law and Anne Hathaway are fans, and we’re lucky enough to have a meal for four up for grabs. To be in with a chance of winning this spicy feast for you and all your friends at Pho, simply email competitions at ManchesterWire dot co dot uk with the answer to the following question.
