Hawksmoor Manchester, home to some of the best meat and seafood the city has to offer, celebrates its fifth birthday with a week of celebrations. Starting on Monday (2 Mar), Chicken Poutine Barm – featuring chips, chicken gravy and cheddar cheese curds – returns to the menu for a full month. Wednesday (4 Mar) puts the spotlight on two of Hawksmoor’s suppliers – The Rare Breed Meat Co. and Brixham Seafish. One-off specials from each of these suppliers will be available for one day only. Wednesday also heralds the arrival of limited edition beers from Runaway Brewery and a new gin created by Manchester Gin for Hawksmoor’s birthday, featuring botanicals such as tarragon, kefir lime leaf and fennel.
On Thursday (5 March), the bar will be taken over by internationally renowned bartenders Joe and Daniel Schofield ahead of their own bar opening in Manchester later this year (watch this space). They will be serving five £5 cocktails between 6pm and 9pm. On Friday 6 March, dishes from Hawksmoor’s original a la carte menu – including Panzano Steak Tartare and Deep Fried Oysters – will return for one night only. Meanwhile, for the whole of March, a Hawksmoor Classics menu highlighting the venue’s most important dishes, drinks and people, will be available from £70 per person (or £95 per person including wine pairings). Make sure you don’t miss out on this very special week of celebrations in honour of one of Manchester’s finest restaurants.
To celebrate Hawksmoor’s fifth birthday, we’re giving Manchester Wire readers the chance to win dinner for two worth £150. Entries will close on Sunday 8 March at midnight. To be in with a chance of winning, simply fill out the form below:
