Band on the Wall continue their strong habit of selecting some of the finest touring live bands across jazz, funk and soul by welcoming The Rebirth for a show on Tuesday 5 May. The Los Angeles septet released their single, ‘This is Coming To?’, ahead of a quasi-concept album aiming to piece together the very human sensation of wishing to return to viewing the world through childlike eyes. Brought into fruition with some help from the Indiegogo crowd funding platform, Being Thru the Eyes of a Child is a collection of songs smoothly blending funky guitar strokes with the beguiling vocals of Baskerville Jones. Their grooves have gyrated hips globally at festivals from Big Chill to South Africa’s Cape Town Jazz Festival, so don’t resists the temptation to boogie. Deep house, disco, funk and soul specialist DJ Andrea Trout will be on the ones and twos.

We have a pair of tickets for Tuesday (5 May) up for grabs. To be in with a chance of winning, simply email competitions at ManchesterWire dot co dot uk, with your name, age, Twitter handle, and the answer to the following question. The deadline for entry is Monday 4 May 2015, at midnight.
