Chorlton Arts Festival (Thu 14 – Mon 25 May) returns with more than 100 events in tow – and we’ve got a pair of tickets to its centre-piece, the music-focused Chorlton Weekender (Fri 22- Mon 25 May) up for grabs. The three headline acts of the Weekender are O’Hooley and Tidow, The Travelling Band and Young Knives (pictured). Your Weekender wristband gets you into all three shows. Tickets are required for the main live events, but there are a number of freebies that you can get involved with if that rocks your boat. A couple of our favourites are Remix: Manchester Reworked (Fri 22 May, St Werburgh’s Church, 7.30pm, free) which sees works by composers John Casken and Peter Maxwell-Davies performed alongside new commissions inspired by their works. There’s also a showcase by the acclaimed Ordsall Acapella Singers (Sun 24 May, St Ninian’s Church, 7pm, free).
