Performance collective Clod Ensemble are teaming up with Manchester Science Festival to bring a remarkable exhibition of live human specimens to The Lowry. Under Glass is somewhere between a museum exhibit, an installation, a theatre show and a medical lab, where you can walk among people trapped inside glass. Characters include a woman in a jam jar, restless sleepers in a Petri dish, and a shy person caught behind a glass panel. We are giving away a pair of tickets worth £31 – plus a very different kind of glass in the shape of a bottle of Prosecco. To enter, simply sign up to our mailing list in the top right hand corner of our home page, then send an email headed ‘Under Glass competition’ including your name, age and Twitter handle to competitions [at] manchesterwire [dot] co [dot] uk. Competition closes at midnight on Sunday 15 October. Winners will be notified via Twitter and email the following day. Read our preview & watch the trailer here.

Wed 18 – Sat 21 Oct, The Lowry, Pier 8, The Quays, Salford M50 3AZ. Tel: 0843 208 6000, 6.30pm & 8pm (& Sat 3pm), £15.50, www.thelowry.com
