This year has been quite a treat for long-term fans of The Mountain Goats. Summer saw the Californian folk-rockers revive their classic lo-fi style with a remastered version of 2002’s quintessential album All Hail West Texas, featuring seven bonus tracks and new liner notes. And this month they support that reissue with a UK duo tour – the first time John Darnielle and Peter Hughes have performed as just a two-piece in over half a decade – including a stopover at the RNCM.
