These New Puritans return to Manchester this month as part of a six-date UK tour in support of their critically acclaimed third album Field of Reeds, released in June. Described as ‘beautifully muted yet murkily exciting’ by Q in their four-star review, the album sees the band experiment with more of a neo-classical sound, swapping the post-punk revivalism of their early days for richer, more challenging arrangements (watch the video for single Fragment Two below). For your chance to win a pair of tickets to their show at Gorilla, email info at manchesterwire dot co dot uk with ‘These New Puritans competition’ as the subject, including your name, age, Twitter handle, phone number and the answer to the following question. The competition closes at midnight on Wednesday 9 October, and the winner will be announced on Thursday.
