FutureEverything returns next week, and this year the festival is teaming up with the Royal Northern College of Music for a world-class programme of contemporary and new media artworks, sound installations, live music and performance. With the theme of Tools For Unknown Futures, look out for lasers, optics, forward-thinking animations, installations and more – and two lucky Manchester Wire readers can win two tickets to ALL of the events taking place at RNCM. Live performances come in the form of Canadian sound artist, Tim Hecker (Tue 1 Apr, 7.30pm, £14.50), producer and beatmaker, Evian Christ (Sat 29 Mar, 7.30pm, £12.50) and an experimental sound and material performance by Martin Messier who presents the world premiere of Projectors (Sun 30 Mar, 8pm, from £7). Elsewhere, take in a mirror and laser installation by visualist Emmanuel Biard and engineer David Leonard (Sat 29 Mar, 2-8pm, FREE), an audiovisual laser show by acclaimed sound artist Robert Henke (Fri 28 Mar, 8pm, £12.50, pictured) and a choral performance of Longplayer – a 1000-year-long musical composition project. To win two tickets to each of the above shows (and more) simply email competitions at manchesterwire dot co dot uk with ‘FutureEverything competition‘ as the subject line and include your name, age, Twitter name, telephone number. Deadline for entries is Tuesday (25 Mar) at midnight, with winners announced on Wednesday (26 Mar)
