Bearded American singer-songwriter Samuel Beam, aka Iron & Wine, will fill the grand Manchester Opera House with his honeyed vocals this month, in support of fifth album Ghost on Ghost. Having gradually expanded his original, sparse acoustic arrangements, this new release finds him adding subtle hints of funk and jazz to his usual symphonic folk, of which he will be showcasing in this special performance.
