In 2009 Magic Arm, aka multi-instrumentalist Marc Rigelsford, had quite the year. He released his critically acclaimed debut album (Make Lists, Do Something), won the BBC Introducing stage at that year’s Glastonbury festival and went on to play SXSW in Texas, gathering praise from the likes of Iron & Wine and Grizzly Bear along the way. After a two year gestation period Marc is ready to release his new record Images Rolling and he will launch it with a gig at the historic Baronial Hall at Chetham’s School of Music this Friday. Playing guitar, synths, keyboard, glockenspiel, various types of organ, the drums and often referred to as a master of the loop pedal, sample his unique sound here. For your chance to win two tickets to this event that’s been sold out for months, simply email info at manchesterwire dot co dot uk with ‘Magic Arm Competition’ as the subject line, plus your name, age, Twitter name, telephone number and the answer to the following question.
