Better and badder than ever, Sounds From The Other City music festival returns this May Bank Holiday with all the best acts you never knew you were missing in your life. Drawing on the skills of the city’s finest promoters (Now Wave, Faktion, Fat Out and Comfortable on a Tightrope to name but a few), this is the event to catch new talent on the rise. From 3pm until extraordinarily late, catch Brainfeeder’s beat maverick Daedelus (pictured), the sound of Heavenly Recordings’ Stealing Sheep, London Sinfonetta collaborator Larry Goves, Divorce, Mcr legends Fingathing, Fence Records’ Rozi Plain and Sways Records faves Great Waves. In fact there are more than 40 acts to explore on a bill that is both eclectic and deeply fun. From proper old pubs such as The Kings Arms, The Crescent and The Rover Returns to St Philips church and the inimitable Islington Mill, the venues taking part are stars in the show too.
