Winter food and beer festival at Sandbar

If you head on down to Grosvenor Street next weekend, you’ll find that the good people at Sandbar are putting on a winter food and beer festival. From 5pm on Friday and Saturday, there will be a range of 10 warming ales on offer – including a special one-off brew from Privateer Beers, a local brewery based on Temperance Street. Ironic! On the food side of things, they will be offering three hearty home-made dishes. A tasting package, including a sample of each dish and three half pints, will be available for just a tenner. Entertainment comes from local band Playacting on Friday, and there will be DJ sets on Saturday too. Tickets are available from the bar – or you can just turn up on the night.
