For an arty and alternative Christmas market experience, head to the Makers Market Christmas event at the Great Northern Warehouse every Saturday and Sunday from Saturday 9 November through to Sunday 22 December. They’ve got loads of festive stalls serving up the best food, drink, arts and crafts producers in the region – and by supporting these talented independent traders, you’ll be helping local businesses in the community thrive this Christmas season. With something for the whole family to enjoy, you can browse the stalls and pick up some unique vintage finds and quirky modern stocking fillers, snack on a festive feast of mine pies and cheese, and wash it all down with some Gluhwein and gingerbread gin. There’s also a live DJ and a choir who’ll be spinning and singing your favourite Christmas tunes. It promises to be the coolest alternative Christmas market in town.
