Dunham Massey is being transformed into a sparkling winter wonderland after dark this Christmas. The gardens of the 400-year-old hall will become a one-mile light trail with super-size snowflakes and singing trees. Father Christmas will lead you and your family through twinkling tunnels and past a scented fire garden. You’ll journey all the way to Pealight Heaven, a forest canopy festooned with over 100,000 fairy lights. As a grand finale, colourful fountains will dance to classic Christmas songs while you toast marshmallows on an open fire. If it gets a little nippy after the illuminations, pop into the Visitor Centre for a hot chocolate treat or last-minute Christmas shopping. The light trail comes courtesy of classical music promoter Raymond Gubbay and there’ll be nine bookable showings per day.
