Damn, it ain’t half been hot Manchester! It’s positively beer garden weather right? And after a couple of pints – what better way is there to spend your evening than at a gig? This month there’s tonnes of local talent playing in, around, and nearby the city – so to give you a head start – we’ve put together another mixed bag playlist of all those you can catch this August! Kicking off, Jimmys NQ plays host to the Stereohaze EP launch (Fri Aug 2) with support from fellow Manc-based band Kül Tablasi. Another Jimmy’s event to surely get yourself down to is Indie Rocks! Radio Launch Party on 10 August – it’s from 3pm-11pm with a great selection of bands set to play including Narcissus, Heavy Salad, Partisan and Celestial! Manchester favourites Twisted Wheel play a show just up the road in Preston at The Ferret (25 August) with Stockport lads Kashmere supporting. And the end of the month promises a bumper bash of 30 artists across 5 stages Manchester Psych Fest (Fri 30 Aug) plays venues o2 Ritz, Gorilla and YES with a bunch of artists performing including locals WITCH FEVER, URF, The Bleachés and BIMM Manchester graduates Working Men’s Club.
