Fresh from winning the Manchester People’s Culture Award at the Manchester Culture Awards last week, street art project Withington Walls brings a new exhibition to Libertine on Thu 1 Dec.

Celebrating some of Withington’s most famous murals, along with a few that might have flown under the radar, the exhibition features artworks captured via gorgeous photography courtesy of the Manc Wanderer.

The recently opened, stunning Libertine plays host to the exhibition, which will run between 7pm-11pm. The show will also launch a crowdfunder to help pay for the night and for the project to continue. In exchange for donations, visitors can be sent their favourite photo in the post afterwards.

Donations will help shape future plans for Withington Walls, which include larger ‘signature’ murals on neglected walls, further shutters, walls nd street cabinets, spray workshops for young people, walking tours and a new book about the project.

Burton Rd Brewing Co have brewed an exclusive pale ale for the evening, and there’ll also be £5 margaritas just down the road at Southiside Tequilla Joint at an after part which runs until 2am.
