Celebrate women’s contribution to the wine industry this International Women’s Day with a special tasting and trailblazer event hosted by local institutions Salut Wines and People’s History Museum.

Salut’s world-shaking £110 Trailblazer wine box features 6 different wines created by the leading female-led vineyards from around the globe. The Salut team have curated the box specifically for People’s History Museum and International Women’s Day, with each purchase containing an invite to an exclusive Zoom tasting event due to take place at 7pm on Monday 8 March.

Together with your host and People’s History Museum Director Kate Ashton, attendees will be joined by a trio of wine experts including world leading wine writer Jancis Robinson and celebrated winemakers Samantha O’Keefe from Lisemore Estate Vineyards in South Africa, Marinette Garnier from quaint French wine house Jaffelin and Myriam Ambuzer from Crete’s Lyarakis vineyard. Each will be on hand to discuss their much-loved work, share their secrets from the trade and discuss stories from an industry where women are largely under represented.

In addition, host Kate Ashton will talk viewers through stories told at People’s History Museum about the fight for women’s equality, while Salut Wines owner, Sara Saunby, shares insights into the wines featured in your Trailblazer box – and the winemakers behind them. To order your Trailblazer wine box – which is available with either 3 (£58), 6 (£110) and twelve (£199) bottles, simply visit the Salut Wines website or follow the booking button below. You can also buy a ticket to the event itself but donating to People’s History Museum.
