WWF is inviting people of all ages and abilities to join together on a Great Wild Walk through Delamere Forest this July.

Two charity walks will be taking place on Sat 1 Jul, with funds raised helping WWF in their mission of protecting and restoring wildlife and habitats in the UK and around the world.

Participants can choose between a 5 or 10-mile picturesque walk, which offers the chance to spot some of Delamere Forest’s local wildlife, which includes the beautiful small tortoiseshell butterfly, greater spotted woodpeckers, and rare species of dragonflies including the white-faced darter.

The 5-mile trail is fully accessible by wheelchair, though there is some incline and declines on the route. Dogs are also welcome to join for the day.

The walks kick off at 10.30am, with a 9.45am arrival time. The registration fee is £10 for adults and £5 for under-16s. There is also a suggested fundraising target of £150. Those taking part will get a free t-shirt and eco medal once they’ve completed the walk.
