Wye Oak have announced a show at Manchester’s Deaf Institute hot on the heels of their new album this spring. Entitled The Louder I Call, The Faster It Ends, the band’s fifth LP has already piqued the attentions of critics, who welcome the subtler compositions amidst their trademark dream pop crescendos for this latest dose of sweeping, anthemic indie. This Manchester outing kicks off the first bank holiday weekend of May to the dulcet tones of refreshing sonic panacea.

Fri 4 May, Deaf Institute, 135 Grosvenor Street, Manchester, M1 7HE, Tel: 0161 276 9350, 7pm, £14, www.thedeafinstitute.co.uk
