Last in town in November when he performed at The Lowry, The Boy With Tape On His Face returns to Manchester, for this week’s XS Malarkey comedy showcase. The mime act, created by New Zealand street performer and trained circus artist Sam Wills, was a hit at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe with four-star reviews from both the Guardian and Telegraph. At XS Malarkey, which moves to Jabez Clegg this year, Tape Face will co-headline with Rob Deering. Billed by the organisers as ‘one of the finest musical comedians in the world’, you may recognise Deering from his appearances on ITV’s Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford. MC Toby Hadoke will be joined by additional support acts. Tickets are a very reasonable £5, or £3 for XS Malarkey members (£8).
