Back by popular demand, Yellow Earth’s Dim Sum Nights offers bite-sized pieces of theatre, served with Dim Sum and Chinese tea at the Northern Quarter’s Sweet Mandarin restaurant. This time round there is a mix of talented emerging and established British East Asian writers. Dim Sum Nights explores issues of love, death and dumplings. While you eat your authentic Chinese dishes, you are invited to join waitress Butterfly’s very own wedding party, as well as a family dinner party consumed with love, guilt and hunger. Each night’s entertainment will include short excerpts of theatre by up-and-coming writers as well as brand new pieces from writers involved in last year’s performances, which have been extended by popular demand. Advanced booking is recommended and, for an additional price, there will be a full menu available each night.
