A new cafe and shop specialising in Pan-Asian cuisine is set to open doors in Didsbury this year, fresh from the culinary masterminds behind Mama Z and Woks Cluckin.

Yes Lah is the latest venture from chefs Zos Fulwell (Mama Z) and Yen Tham (Woks Cluckin), bringing food, drink, retail, workshops and supper clubs to Barlow Moor Road.

The pair met during their time at Hatch on Oxford Road and would go on to launch a series of popular supper clubs together, as well as lending a helping hand to each other at various events.

Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Zos wrote: “Gosh I can’t believe I can finally reveal what I have kept my gob shut about since last year. It’s true…Yen and I have now found our forever home and are opening our new venture in the heart of Didsbury.”

She also teased what people can expect from the new spot: “We are ecstatic to have you at our new shop and café called Yes Lah! It will be celebrating all the amazing local makers and people we’ve had the pleasure of working with along the years, bringing together our passions under one roof.

“Expect delicious Filipino, Malaysian and other great ESEA dishes, drinks and groceries. There will be supper clubs, workshops and great local events too. It is so exciting to finally have a base and our permanent home!”

Ahead of the opening, the pair will be launching a Kickstarter to help them get things off the ground. You can turn on notifications and make contributions to that here.
