Often slapped with the unofficial tagline as one of Manchester’s brightest disco, funk and soul club nights, You Dig? reaches a sixth birthday this year and DJs Simon Hamm and Jonathan ‘Diesler’ Radford are celebrating with a trip down Swan Street for their first ever appearance at Band On The Wall. Possessing a reputation for spinning fine cuts of funk, soul, latin, hip hop, disco and jazz, the floor-filling pair will spend the night celebrating original music sampled by the likes of Daft Punk, Kayne West, Jay Z, De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest amongst a host of others. Digging deep to uncover obscure, underground gems that will sound all too familiar (though rarely heard on the dancefloor) expect a bundle of classic breaks and timeless melodies across four hours of what could be their biggest night yet.
Sat 15 Sep, Band On The Wall, 25 Swan Street, Manchester, M4 5JZ, Tel: 0161 834 1786, 11pm, £5, www.bandonthewall.org
