Manchester roller derby team Rainy City Roller Girls are hosting a special event this Friday, at their Oldham home, The Thunderdome. The night begins with a zombie-themed roller disco where fancy dress is recommended, with make-up artist Lipstick Massacre on hand to add extra ‘blood and gore’. There will be prizes for the best costumes. Later, there will be a screening of the movie MurderDrome, which tells the story of a roller derby champion who unwittingly unleashes a demon killer from hell. The venue’s bar and café will be serving zombie-themed drinks and treats all evening. The Thunderdome can be easily reached by Metrolink – it is very close to the Oldham King Street stop – or bus.
