Zouk Tea Bar & Grill is expanding its popular cookery school programme with three new regional masterclasses inspired by the food of Mumbai, Old Delhi, Lahore and Lucknow.
The latest batch of expert-led classes kicks off with a Mumbai special on Sat 17 Oct, celebrating the city’s vibrant street-food culture and bold flavours, with dishes including Chicken Koliwada and Chicken Kolhapuri.
On Sat 28 Nov, Flavours of Old Delhi will explore the city’s rich Mughal food heritage through smoky kebabs, aromatic marinades and deeply flavoured curries, including Sikandari Chicken Tikka and Lamb Boti Kebab.
The final class, Lahore to Lucknow, will bring together Lahore’s robust street-food flavours with the refined Awadhi cooking of Lucknow on Sat 12 Dec. As a festive addition, guests will also learn to prepare a Lahori-style raan-inspired roast chicken with spicy Indian gravy, perfect for recreating at Christmas.
Each hands-on class will give guests the chance to cook alongside Zouk’s chefs, learning traditional techniques, spice combinations and recipes before sitting down to enjoy the dishes they have created. Individual electric hob stations ensure the class provides a hands-on experience.
The three new classes join Zouk’s already in-depth cooking class programme, which includes British Favourites, Punjabi, Southern Indian and BBQ masterclasses.
Tayub Amjad, Zouk Founder, commented: “These new classes are a chance to explore the incredible food cultures of Mumbai, Old Delhi, Lahore and Lucknow. Each city has its own flavours and traditions, and we’re excited to share some of those dishes and techniques with our guests.”
