You may remember PLY’s pre-launch exhibition, PLY in 90 seconds, in which US based textile artist Kayla Matthes created a film called Cheesy Rituals based on our cultural fascination with pizza. Well, now she’s returning, this time with her first solo UK exhibition, User Interface. Playing to the Portland artist’s signature strength at taking traditional crafts and updating them through colour, technique, imagery and pop cultural references, the exhibition features 14 large-scale woven tapestries incorporating computer generated images. You can also get in on the action yourself with a special weaving workshop led by Matthes on the opening night – book tickets here.
